Cyberbullying - When the Internet becomes real

Introduction

The number of victims is rising rapidly. It is like a pandemic that can strike anyone. The producers are often unrecognized and nobody knows about the victims. What sounds like a detective story or a new super-virus is nothing new. The ever-increasing problem of which we speak here is that of cyberbullying. It begins with angry comments, black mailing, discrimination in forums, it can go over to stalking and can end in total demise despair and helplessness of the victims. There were also some cases with the result of suicide.
Many of us no longer live in the real world. They order their food and clothing on the Internet, rather than go walking with their dog, they feed their fish on facebook.com and they meet friends only in social online networks.

This new world called Web 2.0, it offers many possibilities, but the risks and side effects are just as intensive, as well as unknown. Young people now grow up with the Internet. They know exactly how to get into communities and other sites. Even if this topic is frequently discussed in the media, few people know what it really is, no one really knows about the cause and consequences.

Unfortunately, parents frequently watch helplessly, mostly for the reason, that they are ignorant of the subject itself. But children and adolescents are not the only age group affected by cyberbullying. Adults can also become victims. The exact number is unknown; one can only assume that very many people have experienced cyberbullying.

The brochure wants to convey knowledge, so that the Internet will be dealt with awareness. Hopefully there will be more people joining the fight against cyberbullying. Everyone should feel responsible and provide more enlightenment.

It is not an artificial world anymore. The Internet becomes real.................................................
