What is Cyberbullying?
Persistent, offensive, abusive, intimidating, malicious or insulting behaviour, which amounts to an abuse of power or authority, which attempts to undermine an individual or group of employees and which may cause them to suffer stress
This is the persistent criticising, ridiculing and undermining which is designed to humiliate the person. It could be verbal or physical intimidation. Most critical is that it makes the recipient feel upset, humiliated and vulnerable. The definition of bullying is when someone deliberately threatens, frightens, abuses or hurts another person. This could be physical, verbal or mental. This includes hitting, name calling, teasing, leaving someone out, putting someone down, racism, threatening gestures and looks, damaging people’s belongings, ganging up, demanding money or sexual harassment and includes bullying by electronic means, including instant messaging, text messaging, posting comments on a social network site, posting comments on a blog, emailing, doctoring photographs etc
