 ID Theft; Privacy; Phishing    

  1. Only use trusted websites
  2. Don’t reply to emails that suggest you have won a prize in a competition you didn’t enter
  3. Keep your details private: Don’t put too much on the web!
  4. High penalties should be enforced if caught engaging in ID theft or Phishing
  5. Internet Security Providers should have the same security as government computers have.

 I certainly agree with the

 I certainly agree with the warnings issued above. I would put a big red flag at Number 2. I think there also needs to be awareness around this that warns users not to divulge personal details in claiming fake prizes. This is very relevant in the current economic recession where people will be tempted and drawn in to scams such as this
