First results of group discussions
After our successful workshops at the "Summer Camp" in Letterkenny/Ireland (with close to 40 young participants from three european countries) we eagerly anticipate the results of your group discussions. Based on the free decentralized concept of HUWY you and your friends can contribute by discussing both online (e.g. in social networks) and offline (e.g. in the kitchen of your flat-sharing community). Your opinion counts! All results archived so far, are available here (German).
Policymakers joined HUWY!
All incoming discussion results will be presented to the politicians who support the HUWY project in Germany. They shall react to your ideas and proposals by writing their own comments. By now already six policymakers (of different german parties) and even the designee for Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Germany Peter Schaar are supporting our project. Currently we are still looking for more supporters from politics.
Your chance to have a voice
It's totally easy: come together with some of your friends and hold a small discussion about current issues relating to the internet (e.g. data protection, privacy, cyber-bullying, ...). After just write a short summary of your results (our templates will help) and send it to us. To make a change, german policymakers need your opinions and visions about the internet of the future. With these ideas you and your friends can present politicians your point of view. And maybe they're using your ideas for the legislation process!
Survey in preparation
Additionally to your group discussions we are working on a survey which shall help us to get some information how you see the HUWY project, what works well and what less good. We are really excited about the results! Finally we are looking forward to your submissions and thank all of you who contribute!!
Your HUWY team Germany
