HUWY Scotland workshop Tuesday 1st June
Location:e-Science Centre, 15 South College Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AA
Here are the slides from this workshop as a pdf
The HUWY UK team are holding a workshop in Edinburgh on 1st June to encourage youth leaders and youth groups to get involved in the HUWY project.
- What happens to my stuff on FaceBook?
- You shouldn't be cut off for file-sharing.
- It's too easy to bully someone online.
If young people you're working with are having discussions like this then HUWY wants to hear from you. HUWY is an EU project that aims to get politicians to listen to what young people have to say about the Internet.
The short session at the e-Science Centre will cover:
- What HUWY is
- How you can use it in your work
- What you'll need to do to participate
It will also include a free lunch and time to network and share ideas.
If you want to get involved, please register on the e-Science Institute website: http://www.esi.ac.uk/meetings/1093 and contact Feargal O'Kane: f.okane@qub.ac.uk (See our contacts page for more details)

We're also holding a workshop in London on 7th June, if that's closer to you.
Last December we held an initial event at the e-Science Centre to
publicise the HUWY project. Details, pictures and archives of that event are here, on Edinburgh Napier's International Teledemocracy Centre website.
