These days bullying doesn’t just happen in the playground. Cyberbullying – or bullying via digital technologies like mobile phones and computers – is a different threat. It can be harder to spot and more difficult to stop than ‘traditional’ bullying.
Identity theft refers to fraud that involves someone pretending to be someone else in order to steal money or get other benefits. The person whose identity is used can suffer the consequences when he or she is held responsible for those actions.
Due to the nature of child abuse, it is difficult to assess the full extent of online child abuse. It has, however, been estimated that there are over 100,000 websites worldwide containing images of children being abused.
Filesharing is a hot topic. The debate about whether you should be cut off for filesharing raises a lot of interesting issues about access to the Internet and who should control it.
